Best Mini Golf Courses In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Updated: Jun 10

Mini golf, putt putt - whatever you call it, Myrtle Beach is the world capital of it. With over 50 courses spanning the beach, it's hard to choose. That's where we come in.

In alphabetical order (because the ranking is totally based on personal preference), here are our top courses. We will keep adding to this as we keep playing more courses!

captain hook's adventure golf

2205 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

$11.75 before 6 p.m., $12.75 after 6 p.m., $15.75 all-day play until 6 p.m., $1 off ages 4-10, free kids under 3

Captain Hook's is where you'll find the most magical mini golf infused with faith, trust, and pixie dust. Along this course you come face to face with Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, mermaids, pirates, and even a trapped Tink. Both courses, Lost Boys and Hooks Challenge, have their own appeal. Hooks Challenge goes aboard the pirate ship and offers a gorgeous view of the ocean as you ascend, making this our favorite course of the two. Lost Boys takes you through a giant pirate skull and is stroller and handicap accessible. This course encompasses everything fun about mini golf with on-point theming, interesting holes, and a well-maintained course made with a lot of love.

Jurassic Golf

2900 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

$11.75 before 6 p.m., $12.75 after 6 p.m., $15.75 all-day play until 6 p.m., $1 off ages 4-10, free kids under 3

If your family loves dinosaurs, Jurassic Golf is the course for you. It's home to the horned-faced ceratopsian, spitting dilophosaurus, a volatile raptor, and - the centerpiece of the course - a massive T-Rex that moves and roars. There's the Predator and Ice Age courses, the latter of which is ADA accesssible and also gives you better views of the dinos along the way. From the jurassic sounds piping in, to the water features, to the imprints of the dinosaur footprints in the pavement, the impressive course promises fun and adventure.

mt. atlanticus minotaur goff

707 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

$11.50 for 1 round, $9.50 for kids under 12; $16.50 for all day play, $14.50 for kids under 12; $8 for first round and $5 for next round for locals and military

"At 2:37pm, July 2, 1998, a land mass suddenly appeared some two miles out to sea from the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion site. Two days later, the mass had settled itself atop the old Chapin Company Department Store, two blocks from the ocean. The mass was a Myrtle Beach mini golf miniature golf island resort that had broken away from the sunken continent of Atlantis." This is the story of Mt. Atlanticus Minotaur Goff (yes, you read that right). The courses have everything from UFOs to giant frogs - and, of course, Mulligan the minotaur. The MInotaur course is centered around lakes, while the Conch course is all about the caves. Both courses have gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean from mountain-top golf huts that stand 75 feet high. Golfers get to attempt the 19th hole for a chance to win a lifetime pass. The course is equipped with an elevator, ensuring compliance with ADA standards.

red Dragon Cove Adventure Golf

2001 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

$12.75 for 11+, $11.25 for kids 4-10, free for kids under 4; add a round for $6

Red Dragon Cove opened in July 2023, and it's such a welcome addition because it's aesthetic is unlike any other course in the area. The Asian theme carries into beautiful architecture, shipping containers, caverns, waterfalls, and a bamboo forest. This course is centered on a fearless pirate queen who sailed the red dragon junk ship and commanded a fleet of 800 ships. Two 18-hole courses, the Pirate’s Plank (which is ADA accessible) and Marauder's Challenge courses, have a variety of fun and challenging holes that are in pristine condition. This is also a rare course in that we don't have a favorite side because both are equally awesome, so we recommend trying both!

ripley's crazy golf

915 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

$16.99 for 12+, $14.99 for kids 3-11, free for kids under 2

Ripley's Crazy Golf makes the list because it's unlike any other mini golf course in the area - and it's climate controlled so it can be played yearround, rain or shine! This course is also perfect for the people in your party who love a good selfie. It's bright and (literally) glowing. The holes throughout the 3 levels are super creative (we're talking Plinko, Tetris, Skee-Ball, pool) and there is a surprise around every corner. This course is also included with the Ripley's Ultimate Fun Pass and can be packaged with other Ripley's attractions.
